How do I create a new Markdown file?

Tap the + button on the home screen. A new untitled Markdown file will be created and opened in the editor. You can start typing Markdown syntax right away.

How do I open an existing Markdown file?

Tap “Open File” on the home screen and select a .md file from your device. The file opens in the editor and is stored locally — it is never uploaded to any server.

How do I preview my Markdown?

Use the view toggle at the top of the editor to switch between Edit, Preview, and Split view modes. Preview renders your Markdown as formatted text with headings, lists, code blocks, tables, and more.

How do I export as HTML or PDF?

Open your file, then tap the export button (share icon). Choose “Export as HTML” or “Export as PDF” from the menu. The exported file will be saved to your device or shared via the system share sheet.

How do I change the language?

Go to Settings and tap Language. Markdown Viewer & Editor supports 15 languages including English, Hindi, Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and more.

Why does the app show ads?

Ads help support continued development. You can remove all ads with a one-time in-app purchase from Settings.

The app is crashing. What do I do?

Try closing and reopening the app. Make sure you have the latest version from the App Store or Google Play. If the crash happens when opening a specific file, the file may contain unsupported content. Email us with your device model, OS version, app version, and steps to reproduce.
