Terms of Use - Proofrun

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Cosmovex for the Proofrun app. By installing or using Proofrun you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.

1. Apple App Store users

If you downloaded Proofrun from the Apple App Store, the Apple Standard End User License Agreement (EULA) applies to your use of the app, in addition to these Terms. If the two conflict on the license to the app, the Apple Standard EULA controls. Apple is not responsible for the app or its support.

2. What Proofrun is

Proofrun is a learning app. Lessons, checks, certificates and explanations are for practice and are not a professional qualification. Code you run in Proofrun runs on your own device; you are responsible for code you write, paste or share into the app.

3. Free version and Proofrun Pro

• The playground and the first lessons of every track are free. The free version shows ads. Proofrun Pro removes them.
• Proofrun Pro is an auto-renewing subscription, monthly or yearly, at the price shown in the app and in your store (local prices vary). Eligible new subscribers may get a free trial. Introductory or promotional prices are shown in the app with the full renewal price.
• Payment is charged to your Google Play account or Apple ID at confirmation of purchase, or at the end of a free trial. The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the period. An unused part of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
• Manage or cancel in Google Play (Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions) or in your Apple ID account settings (Subscriptions). Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
• Refunds are handled by Google or Apple under their own policies.

4. AI explanations

AI explanations are for users aged 18 and over. They are generated by an AI model (Google Gemini) and can be wrong; Proofrun labels them and lets you check them by running the code. Free users get a small daily number; Pro has fair-use limits we may change, and we may suspend AI access to prevent abuse. Do not paste passwords, keys or other secrets into code you send to AI.

5. Acceptable use

Do not use Proofrun to attack other systems, to break the law, or to copy, reverse engineer, resell or interfere with the app, its lessons or our servers. Proofrun, its name, logo, lessons and code belong to Cosmovex or its licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app to learn.

6. Open-source components

Proofrun includes open-source language runtimes and compilers, each under its own licence. Their notices are listed in the app's licences screen.

7. Availability and changes

We may change, add or remove lessons, features, prices and limits. Proofrun is provided "as is" without a promise that it will always be available or error-free. We will not take away a Pro feature you have already paid for in the current period without a remedy through the store.

8. Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Cosmovex is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of Proofrun. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for Proofrun in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory consumer rights.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction, without removing any mandatory consumer rights you have in your own country.
